WINTER HAVEN -
Johnnie Ruth Tyler Dismuke, 78, of Winter
Haven, Florida, died January 6, 2008 at Good
Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida due
to stroke.
Johnnie Ruth Tyler Dismuke was born February
14, 1929, in Blue Springs, Alabama.
She married Norman Dismuke, February
19, 1948, and as a young homemaker raised 4
children in Clio, Alabama.
Moving to Haines City, Florida in
1959, she assumed additional
responsibilities as bookkeeper and officer
in the family business, Norman's Truck
Brokerage, Inc.
She enjoyed visiting with her
children and grandchildren, traveling,
gardening, reading and watching her “soaps”.
She recently relocated to Winter
Haven, Florida. She was a longtime member of
First Baptist Church/NorthRidge of Haines
City, and was dedicated to her church and
church family
She was
preceded in death by her husband, Joe Norman
Dismuke, and grandson, Rex Hart.
She is survived by son, Keith
(Yvonne) Dismukes, Gallion, Alabama,
daughter, Zan Dismuke, Winter Haven,
Florida, son, Terry Dismuke, Gallion,
Alabama, son, Glenn Dismuke, Tuscaloosa,
Alabama, sister, Martha Turner, Blue
Springs, Alabama, 9 grandchildren and 13
great grandchildren.
Visitation will
be from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, January 10 at
Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City,
Florida.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M.
Friday, January 11 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care
followed by graveside services at Forest
Hill Cemetery.
