DAVENPORT, FL - Robert E. Farris
of Davenport, Florida, formerly of
Nebraska City, Nebraska, died Jan. 5 at
his home.
He was born Oct. 21, 1935 in Charleston,
W.V., but lived all his adult life in
Nebraska. He was retired from Allied
Chemical at LaPlatte, Nebraska and Walt
Disney World in Florida. He was a Past
Master of Western Star Lodge, Past
Patron of Queen Esther OES, past charter
member of the Nebraska City Rescue
Squad, Past President of the NC Jaycees,
and a lifelong Husker fan.
He is
survived by his wife of 52 years, Rose
E. (Read) Farris. He is also survived
by children Dottie Corley and husband
Stan of Oklahoma City, Angela Moody and
husband Dan of Omaha, Nile Farris and
wife Mary of Nebraska City, and Larry
Farris and wife Treva of Nebraska City.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren,
mother-in-law Neva Cushing of NC, and
numerous other relatives and friends.
There will be a memorial service at the
First Christian Church of Haines City on
Tuesday, January 8, at 11am, and a
memorial service in Nebraska City later
this spring.
