MAHOPAC, NY - Mary M. Makkay, 84, of Mahopac, NY, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at her son’s residence in Winter Haven, Fl due to Heart Failure.

Born to Louis and Mary Nagy of Budapest, Hungary on Jan. 17, 1923 in Manhattan, NY, she was retired as a medical secretary and was a member of Thompkins Corner Methodist Church in  Putnam Valley, NY. 

 Preceded in death by her husband Steve Makkay in 2002, she is survived by: a son , Stephen Makkay of Winter Haven, FL; 2 daughters, Virginia Makkay of Ossining, NY and Yolanda Kuhn of West Islip, NY; a brother, Eugene Nagy of Cornwall, NY; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

 The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 8:00pm on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008                       at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33881.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday in the Funeral Home Chapel .
