HAINES CITY - Roy E. "Bud" Hauer, 84, of Haines City, FL passed away January 2, 2008 in Tampa, Florida due to complications of cancer.
He was born September 15, 1923 in York, PA and moved from there in 1986 to Orange City, FL and then to Haines City in 1988. He spent many years working with the wire cloth industry; he was a WW II veteran with the US Army serving in the Pacific Theater, and a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Haines City.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, June Hauer; sons, Leroy E. Hauer of York, PA and Larry E. Hauer of Red Lion, PA; sisters, Miriam Sharp and Ruth Beckmeyer both of York, PA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Monday 1/7/08 at 11 am at Faith Lutheran Church, Haines City. The family has asked that memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to: The Fisher House 13000 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33612 or Faith Lutheran Church 100 8th Street, Haines City, FL 33844.
