WINTER HAVEN - Allen Eugene Harris, 76, of Winter Haven,, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Winter Haven Hospital due to Multiple System Failure. 

Born June 9, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio he moved to Winter Haven17 years ago from Toledo.  He was retired from the Toledo School Board and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven.  Al was a member of the American Legion Post 8, Winter Haven; Moose Lodge # 1023, Winter Haven; Elks Lodge #1850, Maumee, Ohio; Paragon Masonic Lodge #788, Toledo, Ohio;  VFW Post 4289; AMVETS Post 32; and Disabled American Veterans Chap. Central 16.

 He is survived by: 2 sons, Michael Harris of Sioux Falls, SD and Scott Harris of Toledo, OH; 9 brothers; 5 sisters; and 4 grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33881.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Monday,March 3, 2008 in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment and Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida. In lieu of Flowers please make Memorials in his name to the American Legion Post # 8, Winter Haven, FL.
