WINTER HAVEN - Mr. James Christian Robert Anderson of Winter Haven, FL passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Winter Haven Hospital from Alzheimer's disease. He was 78 years old.
A native of Des Moines, Iowa, born August 31, 1929, James moved here January 2007 from Tavares, FL. He was retired as Vice President of a pre-stressed concrete, company. James was also a US Marine veteran during the Korean War, a Methodist; a member and Past President of the Florida Concrete Pre-stressed Assoc.; a member of the Florida Lawn Bowling Assoc.; a member of the Mt. Dora Country Club; and he was an avid golfer.
James is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Shirley Joanne Anderson, his son: William Clifford Anderson of Deltona, FL; his daughters: Ann Marie Larson of Winter Haven, FL; Patti Jo Godber of Orlando, FL; Sandra Jean Anderson of Ormond Beach, FL; and his brother: Richard Anderson of Davenport, IA. James also has eight grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM from the Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven, FL. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
