| | Wendy Ann Kase BLOOMINGTON, IL - Wendy Ann Kase, 42, 9059 Hardesty Run, Bloomington, died at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 13, 2008) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal due to Heart Failure. Wendy was born March 28, 1965, in Winter Haven, Fla., a daughter of Allen "Roy" and Carol Ann Connett Ivey. She married Tate M. Kase on April 1, 2000, at Lake Wales, Fla. He survives.
Also surviving are her father, Roy Ivey, Bloomington; a brother, Mike Ivey, Florida; as well as a niece, Lindsey Ivey, and nephew, Sean Ivey; both of Florida. She served as a second mother to the Hartema boys of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Wendy graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in communications and was employed as a business analyst for State Farm Insurance Cos., Bloomington. She devoted countless hours volunteering for St. Jude Children's Hospital fundraisers. Whether it was participating in two St. Jude runs from Bloomington to Peoria, numerous events at the arena or selling candy bars at the mall, she was there. She also helped many other charities. Wendy was a very giving person who enjoyed helping others in times of need. She was proud to be an organ donor. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 8:00pm, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel with officiating. Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorials, may be made to the St. Jude's Runners Association, 4722 N. Sheridan Road, Peoria, IL 61614.
