HAINES CITY - Roy Richard Hope, Sr., 63, of Haines City, FL, died Monday, February 11, 2008, in Winter Haven, FL.
He was born March 28, 1944 in Chattanooga, TN, and moved to Polk County 30 years ago from there. Richard was a mechanic working with the G.M. Dealer in Haines City for 20 years lastly with Lott-Mathers Chevrolet. He was an avid Nascar fan and a member of the Lake Alfred United Methodist Church.
His wife, Michelle Lynn Hope and his brother, Raymond Hope precedes him in death.
His children, Roy Richard Jr., Allen Eugene Hope, Paula Renee Cory, Ronda Louise Hicks, Amanda Irene Hope, and Nicholas Quay Hope; siblings, Lela Huff, Robert Hope, Ronald Hope, and Randy Hope; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren survive him.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2/13/08 from 5-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Memorial service will be at Thursday, 2/14/08 at 11 am at Lake Alfred United Methodist Church.
