WINTER HAVEN - Robert Lee Edeker, 62, of Winter Haven died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at his residence due to cancer.
Born August 16, 1945 in Winter Haven, FL to E.L. and Bessie Pippin Edeker of Haines City, he has been a lifelong resident of the area. Bob was retired from the Winter Haven Hospital where he was the Director of Radiology. He was of the Christian Faith; and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Vietnam War in the Phillipines. Bob was also a member and Past Master of the Winter Haven Masonic Lodge #186 F & AM; the Lake Region Scottish Rite; The Order of the Eastern Star Chap. #74, Winter Haven; The Royal Order of Scotland; the Winter Haven York Rite and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. He also served as the District Deputy Grand Master, District 24, Florida Masonic Lodges in 2006, and he was a Kentucky Colonial.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by: his wife of 34 years, Carol Edeker; a son, Robert L. Edeker II of Clermont, FL; and a half-sister, Novadeen Gross of Winter Haven, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at the Winter Haven Masonic Lodge #186 F &AM, 375 Avenue A, SE, Winter Haven.
