DAVENPORT - Margaret Roney of Davenport, Florida died on Sunday, February 3, 2008 in Winter Haven, FL. She was 90.
 
She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 18, 1917 to Thomas and Margaret Rementer Badey and moved to Davenport in 1988 from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Margaret was a bookkeeper with A&P Supermarket in Philadelphia and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City, Florida. She  was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary and she loved to play bingo and go on cruises.
 
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George Roney and her son, John Roney. She is survived by her children Margaret McHugh of Davenport, George Roney of Davenport, Charles Roney of Mantua, New Jersey; sisters, Alice Brabazon of Georgia and Rosemarie Jamack of Philadelphia; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, February 8, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 9, 2008, at11:00 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, Haines City with Father Robert Mitchell of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating.
