DAVENPORT - Charles "Chuck" E. Hoce, age 80 of Davenport, passed away Saturday at home from complications of diabetes.

Mr. Hoce was born April 8, 1927 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Amanda (Beazel) Hoce. He was a grinder in the bearing department of Timken Company, Canton and moved to Davenport, Fl in 1986. While in Canton he enjoyed youth sports by coaching midget football and basket ball. Here he was an active member of Davenport United Methodist Church and Haines City Masonic Lodge No. 219 F & AM. Mr. Hoce was a Army Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his wife Opal Welch Hoce of Davenport, son Gary Hoce of Canton, daughter Carol Hoce of Davenport, Brother Paul Hoce of Canton and sister Mary Ann Henkel N. Canton, grandson Alex Hoce Canton.
