WINTER HAVEN - Janet Ann Jones of Eagle Lake passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Winter Haven Hospital.  She was 52. 

A native of Winter Haven, born October 14, 1956, Janet has been a lifelong resident of the area.  She retired as Accounting Supervisor of Medicaid billing from the Polk County Health Department, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wahneta. 

Janet was preceded in death by her father, Louie Meadows; father, Louis Gatlin; brother, Mark Meadows, brother, Charles W. Meadows; and grandfather, Dewey "Short" Phillips. 

Janet is survived by her loving husband Daniel L. Jones; her sons: Erik Jones of Wahneta, David (Bobbi) Jones of Eagle Lake; her daughter:  Wynell (David) Dowdy of Lakeland; her brothers:  Cary (Tammy) Meadows of Winter Haven, Jay Meadows of Wahneta, Louis Gatlin of Winter Haven, Maynard (Gina) Gatlin of Lake Wales, Chris Gatlin of Winter Haven; her sisters:  Evelyn Castaliga and Susan Jane Hand, both of Lake Wales, her mother:  JoAnn Meadows of Wahneta, and her grandmother:  Azierue Phillips also of Wahneta, and her grandchildren:  Aaron Hosegood, Tyler Jones, Mackenzie Jones, Alora Jones, and Abigail Dowdy. 

Visitation will be Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven from 5 to 8 PM.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Wahneta.  Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Wahneta.
