DAVENPORT -- Mr. Charles Henry Mehaffey of Davenport, Florida passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008 in Auburndale. He was 91. Born to Charlie Newton Mehaffey and Margaret Agnes Cornett Mehaffey on August 2, 1917 in Eatonton, Georgia, he has been a lifelong resident of this area. He attended the Dundee Church of Christ. Mr. Mehaffey is survived by his son, David Mehaffey of  Haines City and his daughter, Margaret Batson of Live Oak, Florida; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Funeral Services will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Minister James Yaw of Dundee Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, Florida.
