AUBURNDALE - Dennis Maurice "Buddy" Murphy, 74, of Auburndale, Fl died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Resident Center in Auburndale due to cancer.

Born to Everette and Floy Martin Murphy April 5, 1934 in Auburndale, he has been a lifelong resident of Auburndale.  Buddy was a graduate of Auburndale High School, where he excelled in sports.  He served in the U.S. Air Force, has been a U.S. Postal Carrier and was a Real Estate Broker, working for Mary Meyers Realty before he retired.  He was a member of the Church of Christ in Auburndale.  

Preceded in death by his parents, Buddy is survived by: his wife of 50 years, Alma Hinman Murphy; 2 daughters, Terri Milburn of Winter Haven and Tracy Esham and her husband Mark of Auburndale; a brother, Ronald Murphy and his wife Juanita of Auburndale; 2 sisters, Linda Chelette and her husband Rod of N.C. and Brenda Watson and her husband Leroy of N.C.; 4 grandchildren, Dale Wood, Kyle Milburn, Jenna Esham and Lexi Esham; and a great grandchild, Dahlia Wood.
