WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA – Mrs. Catherine M. Cammer of Winter Haven, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008 at home from respiratory failure.
She was 86 years old. A native of Ponzer, NC, born April 1, 1922, Catherine moved here in 1960 from Wilson NC. She was a retired Alcoholic Counselor for Tri-County treatment center, and the Winter Haven Hospital. Catherine was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Winter Haven, and she was a 37-year member of A.A. It was her passion in life to help others find God and sobriety through the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 61 years: Edward Cammer; her daughter and son-in-law: Wendy and Bill Walters of Winter Haven; her beloved granddaughter: Catherine Walters of Winter Haven, and her half grandchildren: Karen Harmer, Tari Murphy, and James Walters, all of Lakeland; and her great-grandchildren: Brandi and Matthew Murphy, Harley Walters, and James and Ann Marie Harmer .
Memorial services will be held Monday, August 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven.
