Roland Hardee 

 

HAINES CITY, Florida – Roland Hardee of Haines City, Florida, died August 9, 2008, in Haines City, Florida. He was 69.

Roland was born May 21, 1939 in Mullins, South Carolina to Robert and Ethel Williamson Hardee and moved to Haines City in 1967 from South Carolina. Roland was a member of the Baptist Temple of Dundee where he was a Deacon. He enjoyed following NASCAR and was a fan of #3 Dale Earnhardt until his untimely passing when he became a fan of #48 Jimmie Johnson.

Roland is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Mary Hardee; daughters, Donna Anderson, Gail Vela and Gracie Hardee all of Haines City; brothers, Carl Hardee of Mullins, H.P. “Bud” Hardee of Marion, South Carolina, Dennis Hardee of Mullins, Wilbert H. Hardee of Fork, South Carolina, Wayne Hardee of Marion; sisters, Maebell Rabon of Mullins, Ladosca Hucks of Gallivants, South Carolina, Doris Williamson of Mullins, Judy Barnhill of Marion, Dale Alford of Fork; six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

A visitation will be Wednesday, August13, 2008 from 10-11 am at the Baptist Temple of Dundee with the funeral following at 11 am with Dr. Jim Lyle officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, Florida.
