Milt Paskin   

Milt Paskin

LAKE ALFRED - Milt Paskin, 90, of Lake Alfred, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at his residence due to heart failure. 

Born March 7, 1918 to Jacob and Ester Paskin in Detroit, MI, he moved to Haines City  in 1970 from Dayton, OH, where he  lived before moving to Lake Alfred 2 years ago.  He was a retired general contractor and was the first project director for Arrowhead Estates now known as Grenelefe.  Milt was a graduate of Notre Dame. He was a past member of: Kiwanis Club; Elks Club; and the Grenelefe Mens Golf Assn. And served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre for four years during WWII, during which time  he was the “Skipper” of various vessels.  

He is preceded in death by: his first wife of 20 years in 1965, Jean Hiatt Paskin and a step-daughter, Celeste Clayton Bynum. 

He is survived by: his wife of 30 years, Patricia Paskin; two daughters, Terrie Paskin Sullivan of Winter Haven and Denise Paskin Isler of Auburndale; a sister, Sylvia Zingeser of Detroit, MI; a step-son, Robert Clayton of Winter Haven; ten grandchildren, Tina Burkhamer, Dayton Swann, Stephanie Dorman, Marlene Howell, Leah West, Brad Clayton, Ian Munger, Valarie Isler, Amber Clayton and Taylor Clayton; and twelve great-grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00pm till 5:00pm, Friday, August 8, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33881.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that Memorial Donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823 or the Salvation Army at www.salvationarmyusa.org.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
