HAINES CITY - Wilfred J. "Bill" Lee, 87, of Haines City, FL, died Monday, April 21, 2008, in Auburndale, FL due to pneumonia.
He was born January 7, 1921 in Derry, NH, and moved to Haines City 24 years ago from E. Syracuse, NY. Bill was a mechanical engineer, retiring as a Vice President for Engineering with Hoffman Industry in E. Syracuse. Bill was a veteran of the US Navy serving as a signal man aboard a PT Boat in the Pacific during WW II, he was a member of St Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, and his hobbies included shuffleboard, golf and bowling.
Bill is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Ethel Lee; children, Dianne Sullivan of Plano, TX and Craig Lee and his wife Sugar of Tucson, AZ; sister, Irene of Derry, NH; grandchildren, Jodie Lewis, Jay Sullivan, Daniel, Grace and Marc Lee; and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4/23/08 from 5-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral mass will be Thursday 4/24/08 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. Condolences may be sent via www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
