WINTER HAVEN - Mrs. Pollyanna S. Cannon of Winter Haven, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at home from cancer.   She was 75.  A native of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, born February 24, 1933, Pollyanna moved here in 1979 from Ft. Lauderdale.  She was a Chief Dispatcher for the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, and after moving to Winter Haven she worked for Central Door, and then with her husband’s real estate office: Jack Cannon & Associates, Inc Realty.  Pollyanna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winter Haven where she met many friends and was a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Surviving her is her husband of 54 years:  Jack HR Cannon, her daughter:  Karen Lynn Cannon Scholten and her husband Richard of Winter Haven, her grandchildren:  Bryan, Bradley & Christopher, and her great-grandchildren:  Kaitlyn & Ty Landon.  She also has 9 nieces, and 5 nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, April 14, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.  Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to:  Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 338223.  Condolences to the family can be sent to:  www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
