Leah Adamski

 

Winter Haven - Leah Adamski, 81, of Winter Haven, FL died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her residence due to heart failure. 

 Born to Frank and Irene Perkins Hepp on  August 25, 1926 in Buffalo, NY, she moved to Winter Haven  over 20 years ago from Buffalo, NY.  She was the Assistant Director for the Girl Scouts of America, Buffalo Chapter and was active in the Women’s Health Initiative and in support of the Cleveland Clinic.  Leah attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL. 

Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edward N. Adamski in 2001; her parents and a sister, she is survived by: three sons, Joseph R. Adamski and his wife Kathleen of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, Edward N. Adamski, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Oswego, NY and Robert R. Adamski and his wife Margaret of Buffalo, NY; a daughter,  Kathleen Ervolina of Dade City, FL; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.   

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm till 4:00pm, Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.   A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Thursday, April 10, 2008 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Chapel in Winter Haven, FL.  Condolences can be sent to the family via www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
