Milton R. Braidwood

HAINES CITY - Milton R. Braidwood, 89, of Haines City, FL, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Haines City due to complications of surgery.

He was born on May 29, 1918 in Los Angeles, CA, and has been a winter resident of Haines City since 1982 and permanently moving here in August of 2004 from Caseville, MI. Milton  was an attorney with Burton Abstract & Title Co. in Detroit, MI for 8 years, then he moved to Caseville and opened his own law office, retiring in June of 1981. He was a US Marine Corps. Veteran serving in W.W. II and in the Korean War leaving after 17 years of service with the rank of master sergeant, while in the Marines he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post 543, Caseville, a life member of D.A.V., past president of the Caseville Kiwanis Club, and a retired member of the Michigan Bar Assoc.

Milton is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Alice Jane Braidwood; son Michael Braidwood and his wife Linda of Clinton Township, MI; granddaughters, Renee Zalewski, and Andrea Salvaggio and her husband Vito; great grandchildren, Noah, Tanner and Emma.
