WINTER HAVEN - Bobby Donald Hoover, 78, of Winter Haven, FL died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure.
Born March 17, 1930 in Gaston County, NC to Loy and Fannie Long Hoover, he moved to Florida 49 years ago from North Carolina. He was a retired Insulator with the Insulators Local #67 in Tampa, Florida.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bobby is survived by; his 4 sons, Scott Hoover of Winter Haven, FL, Steve Hoover of Auburndale, FL, Sheldon Hoover of North Carolina and Shawn Hoover of Winter Haven, FL; a brother, Darrell Hoover of Alexis, NC; a sister, Phyllis Ritchie of Iron Station, NC; and three grandchildren, Tyler Hoover, Jenna Hoover and Jessica Hoover.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm till 5:00pm, Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33823. Funeral Services will be next week in Alexis, North Carolina with interment at the Alexis Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be sent to Meals on Wheels, 620 6th Street, NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
