WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Lawrence W. Padgett died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in Winter Haven, Florida. He was 79.

Born to George Padgett and Grace Wilson Padgett on May 8, 1928 in Paoli, Indidana he moved here in 1989. He retired as a Chief in the United States Navy and also retired from the Carpenters Union in Massachusetts. He was an avid fisherman, he was Methodist by Faith.

Mr. Padgett is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary E. Brennan Padgett; son, Michael Padgett of New Hampshire; daughters, Sharon Tinker of New Hampshire and Susan Booth of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren;  ten great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida. Chaplain John San Cartier of Cornerstone Hospice, Winter Haven will officiate.
