GLEN ST. MARY - Shirley D. McMullen, 78, formerly of Lakeland, died Monday, May 7, 2007 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fl. due to congestive heart failure.
Born May 20, 1928 in Walden, New York to Oscar and Grace Dingee, she moved to Miami, Fl. when she was 9 years old. She moved to Lakeland in 1976 and recently moved to Glen St. Mary, Fl. She was a bookkeeper for Gary's Oyster Bar in Lakeland, Winter Haven and Lake Alfred, was of the Baptist faith and was a dear friend to all.
Her parents and her beloved husband, Ivan McMullen who died in 1977 preceded Mrs. McMullen in death.
Her son, Robert McMullen and his wife, Susan of Glen St. Mary, FL survive her.
The family will receive friends at 10 30 am, Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, Fl.
