Born in Maria Stein, Ohio on Dec. 31, 1933 the son of Joseph & Veronica (Brackman) Giere. He Graduated in 1952 from St. Johns High School and served in the U.S. Army from1956 to 1957. He had worked for Minster Machine Company in Minster, Ohio and retired from there on Dec. 31, 1995. He hen moved to Florida in 1996 where he worked at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl for 5 years, worked for the city of Winter Haven, Fl. During the spring training with the Cleveland Indians for 10 years. Worked for the Polk County Election for 8 years and also volunteer at Give Kids The World in Kissimmee, Fl.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon Ann (Ward) Giere whom he married June 5, 1954.

Sons- Michael & wife Kathleen (Kirwan) Giere of Marysville, Ohio.

Grandson – Ryan Michael Giere of Marysville

Brother – Edmund & wife Jeanette Giere of Maria Stein,

Sister – Loretta Froning of Minster

In-Laws, Jerry & Marlene Humphrey, Celina, Ohio
Dick & Betty Humphrey, Delaware, Ohio

Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by 3 sisters – Cordula Post, Regina Brush and Julianna Gehret and
2 Brothers – Otto Giere and Aloys Giere.
