Winter Haven – Betty J. Carroll, 69, of Winter Haven, formerly of Huntington, IN and Louisville, KY, died Saturday, March 03, 2007 in the Winter Haven Hospital due to cancer.

Born May 12, 1937 to Fulton and Clara Wheeler in Louisville, KY, Betty moved to Winter Haven 15 years. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Lake Alfred; was a homemaker; and belonged to the Red Hat Society. Betty attended Morehead State University, Morehead, KY. Betty also dedicated herself and worked hard every year for the Cypress Greens Christmas for Kids.

She is preceded in death by; her son, Scott Carroll; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Betty is survived by: her husband of 50 years, Gene Carroll; 2 sons, Nick Carroll and his wife Angela of Winter Haven and Chip Carroll and his wife Amy of Ft. Myers, FL; 2 brothers, Buddy Wheeler and Wallace Wheeler, both of Louisville, KY ; a granddaughter, Tess Marie Carroll of Winter Haven: and two sisters-law, Kay Price and Janice Solloway of Huntington, IN.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Thursday, March 8, 2007 in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL .
