HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Ruth S. Prestwood of Haines City, Florida died Thursday, March 1, 2007, in Haines City. She was 93.

 

Born on November 22, 1913 to Colonel and Theadosia Connelly Shaw in Stark, Florida, and she moved to Haines City from Stark, Florida in 1927. She was a citrus worker for The Orange Ring and a member of Shamrock First Baptist Church, Haines City, Florida.

 

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John William Prestwood, she is survived by her son,  James David Prestwood of Huntsville, Texas and daughter, Louise Moore of Haines City, Florida, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2007 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral Services will be Monday, March 5, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Glenn Giles of Shamrock First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will immediatley follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
