Lavon "Jake" Fare

WINTER HAVEN - Lavon "Jake" Fare, 90 of Winter Haven, FL went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2007.

He was born in Stanton, Michigan on Nov. 9, 1916. He was employed by the US Postal Service for 38 years. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW Post in Sheridan, Mi. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Stanton.

He was preceded in death by his son Donald, and a sister, Nola. He is survived by Marian, his loving wife of 60 years; son, David; Sister, Joyce Thurber of Dallas, Texas; half brothers, Eugene, Gary, and Ray Fare; Niece, Peggy Linton, California, nine grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.
