WINTER HAVEN - Martha Louise Barnes, 76, of Winter Haven died January 23, 2007 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure.

Born December 23, 1930 in Thonotosassa, Fl, to Henry and Nellie Coleman ,she grew up in Auburndale and moved to Winter Haven when she married G. LaRue Barnes at the age of 18. Mrs. Barnes was retired from Denison Junior High School, having worked there for 25 years, and was a member of Heartland Community Church. She loved to spend her time watching football & golf, working in her flowers and taking care of her birds.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of 46 years, G. LaRue Barnes in 1997; and a sister, Jane Cameron.

Mrs. Barnes is survived by: three daughters, Terrie-Ann Maurer of Fairfield Glade, TN, Debbie Newton of Lake Wales, FL and Nancy Young of Winter Haven, FL; Six Grandchildren; and Seven Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, Friday, January 26, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel with Pastor Ed Kendrick officiating. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
