Lila P. Marlowe

HAINES CITY - Lila P. Marlowe, passed away Jan. 19, 2007 of respiratory failure.

Born on Sept. 17, 1923 in Chicago, IL, she had been a winter visitor to Florida since 1976 and a full time resident of Haines City since 1999. She was an executive secretary and during WWII she served as a Sergeant in the USMCWR, Division of Aviation, Washington, DC. working as a secretary in the Intelligence and Officer Personnel Sections. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Grenelefe Resort and National Orchid Society.

Preceded in death by her first two husbands - Raymond A. Quist, Sr. and James R. Morrison.

Survived by: 2 Sons Raymond A. Quist, Jr., Stevens Point, WI and Steven S. (Brenda) Quist, Hammond, IN; Daughter Karen R. (Greg) Scott, Crown Point, IN; 3 Grand-daughters, Kelly (Jacob) Gannon, Kimberly (Brian) Boschee and Rachael Quist. Funeral Services will be held in Munster, Indiana.

Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City, in charge of local arrangements. Memorial may be made to the James R. Morrison Memorial Scholarship, Jeffrey W. Pethick, University of Note Dame, 115 Main Building, Notre Dame, Indiana 46556-5602.
