WINTER HAVEN - Kenneth C. Johnson, age 71, of Winter Haven, FL died Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at his home in Winter Haven due to Lung Cancer.

Born Aug. 7, 1935 in Herman, MN to Clarence and Florence Johnson, he was a winter resident from 1999 until moving here permanently in 2001 from Willard, OH. Kenneth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired accountant for the Eaton Corporation; a member of the Knights of Columbus in Willard, OH; a member of the V.F.W., Winter Haven; and a member of the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, Jerome Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty L. Johnson; Two Daughters, Jan (Robert) Jones of Newtown, PA and Kimberly Johnson of Cleveland, OH; a Son, James (Janet) Johnson of Tampa, FL; Two Sisters, Marilyn (Donnie) Bates of Pharr, TX and Judy (Leonard) Nelson of Morris, MN; a Brother, Dale (Connie) Johnson of Herman, MN.
and six grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Brittany, Brianna, Kyle and Kevin.


The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be at 2:00pm, Monday, January 8, 2007 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Chapel with Father Ralph Duwell officiating.
