WINTER HAVEN - Gavin Michael Imber, 38 of Winter Haven died peacefully in his sleep at Life Care Center on February 22, 2007 from Heart Failure. A native of Winter Haven, Gavin spent his childhood fishing, boating, and camping, a true outdoorsman. In 1987 Gavin was injured in a car accident that rendered him a quadriplegic. He moved to Bradenton, Florida where he attended Manatee Community College and Graduated PHI Theta Kappa with an associate of Arts degree in 1996. He returned to Winter Haven and had the courage to live out the rest of his life. He is survived by his adoptive parents: Florence Estelle Cloud and Jerry Imber of Winter Haven; his birth parents: Maryjane Cloud Coody of Georgia and Jim Drawdy of St. Petersburg, FL; his grandmother: Ruth Imber of Winter Haven; his sisters: Audra (Kevin) Baxter of Winter Haven, and Michelle (Eric) Nakata of Apple Valley, California; his step-mother: Wanda Imber of Winter Haven; his uncles: Danny Coody of Georgia, and Gene Cloud, Jr. of Bradenton. Visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2007 from 10 to 11 AM from the Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home chapel.
