HAINES CITY - Dorothy E. Hunt, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 24, 2007 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Dorothy was born September 11, 1926 in Cairo, Georgia to the late John and Bessie Taylor. She exemplified the life of a virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31:10-31. "Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Dorothy touched many young lives as a Sunday school teacher at Dundee Baptist Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Henry I. Hunt.
She is survived by her son, David Hunt and his wife, Diddy, of Panama City Beach and their children, Lauren and Amanda and by her daughter Gail and her husband, Douglas Driggers of Jacksonville and their children, Jennifer and Christopher. She is also survived by her sisters Eunice, Carolyn, Bea, Maxie and Lillian.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27 between 5 and 7 pm at Milam Funeral Home in Gainesville, FL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28 at Oakridge Funeral Home in Haines City, FL.
