Born 9/20/28 in New York City, NY, and moved to Davenport in March 2000 from Orlando. He was a veteran of the United States Army, he retired as Chief Civil Engineer of the engineering dept. for Walt Disney World, he was of the Unitarian Faith and a member of American Society of Civil Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Anne H. Kynast of Davenport; children, Greg J. Kynast of Asheville, NC, Stephen B. Kynast of Absarokee, MT, Susan M. Rahimitabar of Orlando, FL, Betsy A. Montague of Winter Garden, Fl, Michael W. Kynast of Bradenton, FL, grandchildren, Kristen Kynast, Jennifer Rahimitabar, Chelsea Kynast, Kara Kynast, Jason Rahimitabar, Caitlyn Kynast, Jordan Kynast, Tim Kynast, Kailey Kynast, Ryan Montague, Nicholas Kynast and Nicole Montague. His brother Joseph H. Kynast precedes him in death.
