Charles Edward Moody

WINTER HAVEN -  Charles Edward Moody, 84, of Winter Haven died February 1, 2007 at his residence after a lengthy illness with cancer. 

Born April 2, 1922 in Santa Clara, California he moved to Winter Haven in 1996 from Germany.  He was of the Lutheran Faith and was retired from being a Junior High School teacher in Los Angeles, CA.  Mr. Moody was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII and the Korean War, he attained the rank of LtJG before retiring from the US Naval Reserve.  He was also a member of: Willow Glen Fraternity Lodge #399 F&AM in San Jose, CA; American Legion Post #8 in Winter Haven, FL and the Military Officers Association of America.

He is survived by: his wife, Liesel Moody of Winter Haven; a daughter, Helen Steinbrugge and her husband, Byron Lee Steinbrugge of Franklin, Ohio and two grandchildren. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, Feb. 5, 2007 in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, Fl with Rev. Hollis Robinson officiating. Masonic Funeral Rites will be conferred and Miltary Honors will follow.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
