| | George E. Polke WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. George E. Polke of Winter Haven died of heart failure Sunday (Aug. 27, 2006) in Winter Haven. He was 79.
Born in Jamaica, N.Y., on July 2, 1927, he was a winter resident of the area before coming here permanently from Covent Station, N.J. in 1999. He owned Northeast Lock Corp. in Clifton, N.J. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Polke is survived by his sons, Allen Polke and Richard Polke, both of New Jersey; daughters, Susan McCallen and Jane Dunlap, both of New Jersey; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held later.
