LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Mamie Frances Grate of Lake Wales died of heart failure Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2006) in Lake Wales. She was 91.
Born in Cincinnati on Feb. 15, 1915, she came to Lake Wales from Grove City, Ohio, in 1972. She was a homemaker. She was a member and past president of the Lake Hamilton Women's Club.
Mrs. Grate was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald "Rex" Grate. She is survived by her son, Robert Grate, Lake Wales; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
