LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Mary A. Salajka of Lake Wales died of cancer Sunday (July 30, 2006) at Good Shepherd Hospice at Palm Terrace. She was 82.
Born in New York on July 5, 1924, she came to Lake Wales from New York in 1975. She operated Lums and Andreas Restaurants for 20 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Stitchery Group.
Mrs. Salajka is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Salajka Sr.; sons, John Salajka Jr., Inverness, Bob Salajka, Lake Wales; daughter, Joan Miller, Winter Haven; sisters, Helen Vidovich, Clifton, Va., Millie Balis-Arturo, North Merrick, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
