Earlie “Frank” Perkins, Sr.
 
WINTER HAVEN - Earlie “Frank” Perkins, Sr., age 81, of Winter Haven, FL, died 9/19/07 in Winter Haven, FL. due to a stroke.

Born July 9, 1926 in West Point, MS, and moved to Polk County in 1984 from Mississippi. He was an electrician with the Electrician’s Union Local 474 out of Memphis, TN, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Hamilton, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in W.W. II where he received the bronze star, the purple heart and numerous other medals. Frank was a lifetime member of D.A.V and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. out of Lakeland, Fl.

He is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Blanche N. Perkins; children, Earlie F. Perkins, Jr, Jimmy E. Perkins, Jerry W. Perkins, Joseph D. Perkins, and Rebecca Lynn Perkins, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry F. and Mary E. Keller Perkins and sister, Mary Frances Woolbright.

Visitation will be Friday 9/21/07 from 5-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral services will be Saturday 9/22/07 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent via www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
