HAINES CITY - Frank James Nuccio, 67, passed away September 8, 2007, peacefully, in his Grenelefe home after a valiant battle with lung cancer.
Frank was born on February 16, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, to Emanuel and Vincenzina (Gambino) Nuccio. He moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1969, and then to Marathon, in the Florida Keys, where he started Nuccio Realty. He enjoyed many successes as a Real Estate Broker, including being twice voted Realtor of the Year and serving as President of the Marathon Board of Realtors, during which time he introduced the automated Multiple Listing Service in the Middle Keys. In 1989, he moved to Grenelefe and re-established Nuccio Realty until his retirement in 2005. He was an avid golfer and member of Grenelefe Golf and Tennis Resort.
He is survived by his wife, Nicci, of 42 years, his son Rossi, daughter Janie Wilcox, son-in-law Steve Wilcox, and grandson Xander Wilcox, all of Haines City. He is also survived by his brothers Joseph (Chicago, IL), Manny (Buffalo Grove, IL), Ross (Margate, FL), and sister Mae Cariddi (Kansas City, MO), their spouses and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Frankie and brother Vince.
Viewing will be held from 12:30-2:00pm on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, corner of 10th Street and Grace Avenue in Haines City. Service to follow at 2:00pm.
