WINTER HAVEN - James A. Kier, 91, of Winter Haven died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland, Fl due to heart failure. 

Born April 17, 1916 in Oklahoma City, OK  to John and Willie Deaver Kier, he moved to Haines City, Fl in 1946 and later moved to Winter Haven after retiring from Florida Power Corporation as a serviceman.  He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army Air Corps and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winter Haven.  

Mr Kier is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Louise Kier; 2 sons, Robert J. Kier of Franklin, NC and Brian E. Kier of Winter Haven, FL; and three grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00pm, Tuesday (today) at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33881.   Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel with Rev. Tim Williams officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park.
