HAINES CITY, FL - Buddy Cliett, age 88, of Haines City, FL, died Saturday, October 20, 2007, at his residence due to cancer.
Buddy was born July 1, 1919 in Ambrose, GA, and moved to Haines City in 1993 from Lytle, TX. Buddy was a retired Non Commissioned Officer in the US Air Force having served for over 20 years; he was a member of the Haines City Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Cliett of Haines City; children, Judy Watkins of Plantersville, TX, Richard Cliett of Sevierville, TN, Linda Valverde of San Antonio, TX, Kenneth Cliett of Winnsboro, LA; step son, Robbie Meritt of Athens, GA; brother, Thomas Olen Cliett of Haines City; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The family has asked that memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to Haines City Church of God 1718 Melbourne Ave., Haines City, FL 33844.
