Dr. Robert Elliott Lee

Dr. Robert E. Lee, M.D.



HAINES CITY - Dr. Robert Elliott Lee, 80, a Polk County physician for 39 years, died October 15, 2007 at his home in Haines City due to heart failure.

He was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on September 18, 1927. Dr. Lee moved to Haines City in 1968 where he has enjoyed a private practice of Internal Medicine until his death. Dr. Lee received a BS Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida and a MD from the University of Miami. He was a Lieutenant, JG for the United States Navy serving in WW II. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Omega Alpha, Pi Kappa Alpha, American Medical Assoc., American College of Physicians, Florida Medical Assoc., American Society of Internal Medicine and the Polk County Medical Assoc.

Dr. Lee is survived by his wife, Marion Lee; daughters, Lucinda Lee of Haines City, Mary Anne Saag of Henderson, KY; son, Kendall Lee of Orlando, FL; as well as six grandsons, Rob Saag, Stephen Degan, Stephen Lee, Thomas Lee, Alex Saag and Matthew Saag. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-11 am and services following at 11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.

Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
