Truman Cramer

HAINES CITY, FL - Truman Cramer, 88, of Haines City, FL passed away 11/16/07 in Auburndale, Fl due to Alzheimer's.

He was born 9/4/19 in Sedalia, Mo and moved to Haines City in 1982 from there. He was a US veteran of the United States Army serving during WW II where he was a PFC and was decorated with the Purple Heart. After the service he opened his own barbershop and operated it from 1946-1962, afterwards he worked as a physical therapist and chiropractor until 1970, then his war injury forced him to return to school and become an international hairstylist until he retired in 1980. He pastored a small country church in Sedalia in 1971, and was a member of U.F.M.C. in Haines City. He was heavily involved in the Scouts receiving the Scouter's Key, he was a member of the American Legion in MO, Disabled American Veterans, and he was on the Board of Directors of Heartland R.V. Park.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Cramer; son, Larry Cramer and his wife Nancy of Groton, CT; brother, J.M. Cramer of Sedalia; grandchildren, Christopher Cramer of Mystic, CT and Tracy Burleigh of Oakdale, CT. He was predeceased by his sister, Freeda Swope and his brother, Dale Cramer.

Memorial service will be Monday at 10 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.

The family has asked that memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to Good Shepherd Hospice 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.
