DAVENPORT, FL - J. D. Cooke, age 85 of Davenport, Fl. passed away Thursday at the Winter Haven, Hospital from Heart Failure.
Mr. Cooke was born Oct. 23rd. 1922 in Elk Valley, North Carolina the son of Dillon Cooke and Bertie Ward Cooke. He moved to Davenport in 1974 coming from Akron, Ohio where he was a millwright.
He is survived by his 2 sons Steve Cooke of Davenport and James David Cooke of Akron, Ohio. 3 Daughters Patricia Ann Gable of Columbus Ohio, Sandra Kay Sullivan of Akron, Ohio, Brenda Carol Vain of Denver Colorado. 2 sisters Willa Blackwell and Wilma Stout both of Akron, Ohio. 8 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
