WINTER HAVEN - John C. Hughey, Jr, 84, of Winter Haven, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, FL due to heart failure.

 Born Aug. 15, 1923 in Melwood, Arkansas he has been a resident of the area since 1962.  He was a fruit picker and was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. He attended the Winter Haven Church of God.

 Preceded in death by: his wife, Madge Johnson Hughey, and a brother and a sister, Mr. Hughey is survived by his children Charles, James, Randy and Charlotte and many friends. 

 Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 in Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Sam Haag officiating.  Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
