LAKE WALES - Ivar S. "Whitey" Magnuson, age 87 of Lake Wales, Fl passed away on Friday 6/22/07 from leukemia.
He was born on January 31, 1920 in Mardakley, Sweden, the son of Edwin and Elise Magnuson. He was a retired steam fitter, of the Lutheran Faith, WW II Navy Veteran, member of VFW Post #2420 and the American Legion Post 34 of Haines City.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eileen in 2004 and is survived by
his son, Jay and wife Diane Magnuson of Unionville, Ct.; daughter, Jo-Ann and husband Joseph Schuhbauer of Greenville, NC.; sister, Lillian Stitham of Bristol, Ct.; 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Jaime Magnuson.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
