 Ethel H. Champney


Ethel Champney

HAINES CITY - Ethel H. Champney, 93, of Haines City, FL, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2007 in Lake Wales, FL, from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

She was born in Winnetka, Illinois on December 23, 1913 and moved to Haines City in November of 1968 from Northbrook, IL. Ethel worked as a childcare provider as well as a civil service employee in Pearl Harbor and was a homemaker, she was of the Methodist faith.

Ethel is preceded in death by her first husband, E. Stanley Nelson, her second husband, Alvin Champney, and her sister Dorothy Taylor. She is survived by her stepsons, Roy Carlson, Gary Champney; stepdaughters, Barbara Mandry, Patricia Morrison; brother, Frederick Jack Hinks. Grandma Ethel is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2007 at 11 AM at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, FL.
