 Ray Clark

Ray Clark

Winter Haven – Ray Clark died on June 4, 2007 of Congestive Heart Failure at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida.  

Ray was born in Richmond, VA and moved to Winter Haven at an early age.  He worked as Plant Manager for Race & Race, Inc. in Winter Haven and for Buchanan Industries in Lake Alfred.  He retired in 2004 as Administrator of Winter Haven Moose Lodge 1023.   He served active duty in Viet Nam for the United States Army, 82nd Airborne, Rangers – Special Forces.  He is a member of the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven.   He joined the Winter Haven Moose Lodge 1023, in 1977 and served in all capacities earning the Fellowship Degree and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit was conferred upon him by the Loyal Order of Moose in 2004 at the House of God at Mooseheart, Illinois.  He received his Pilgrim Regalia from his Grandson Jesse Anderson during the Pilgrim Presentation Ceremonies for the Florida-Bermuda Moose Association in Tampa.  

Ray is survived by his wife, Frances; his daughter Pam, her husband Chuck Anderson and their son, Jesse; son Raymond and grandson Christopher; son Johnny and grandsons Dustin and Shane; sister Barbara, her husband Mike Murtha and their son Corey.  He is also survived by a large extended family.   There is a very special place in heaven for this man that has touched so many hearts during his lifetime.  

Services will be held at the Oak Ridge Funeral Home at 2425 Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven, on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
