WINTER HAVEN - Brook Holloway "Holly" Rollins, age 71, of Winter Haven passed away July 14, 2007 in Snellville, Ga., from heart failure.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Sept, 1, 1935 and moved to Winter Haven in 1960 from Austin, Texas. He was the owner of Holly's Army Navy Store, Winter Haven. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Marines and was an alumni of the University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of the Winter Haven American Legion Post No. 8, Winter Haven Masonic Lodge No. 186, F. & A. M.; 32degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Tampa, York Rite, Lakeland Winter Haven, Polk Council No. 11 R&SM; Thomas Brown Chapter 22 RAM; Bartow Commandery No. 15 KT.; Life member of the DeMolay, Member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Sun coast Forest No. 165, White Shrine, Lakeland; Past Patron, Order of Easter Star Chapter 74 of Winter Haven, the Kentucky Colonels: Past PER of the Winter Haven Elks. He was a member of the Christian Heritage Baptist Church, Winter Haven.
Survived by wife Barbara, 2 sons, MAJ. Brook H. Rollins IV of Milledgeville, Georgia, William P. Rollins, Winter Haven, 3 daughters, M. Valerie Santos, Winter Haven, Teresa K. Velez of Palm Coast, Fl., D. Christine Chapman of Orlando, Fl., 2 sisters, Marie I. Clupper of Wabash, Indiana, Patricia Lee Rollins of Sarasota, Fl., 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation with services will be at the Christian Heritage Baptist Church, Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM. Masonic and Order of Eastern Star Services will be held 11:00 AM. Thursday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Military services will be at Lakeside Memorial Cemetery by the American Legion Post # 8.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Egypt Shrine Transportation Fund for children.
